Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play
By Anne Washburn
Montana Theatre
Good Wednesday October 9, Thursday October 10, Wednesday October
16 or Thursday October 17 / 7:30P
This darkly comic imagining of a post-apocalyptic near future, a contemporary play the New York Times called “downright brilliant,” spans over 80 years and at least as many pop-culture references. A group of strangers becomes a traveling theatre troupe performing remembered episodes of “The Simpsons” as a way to make ends meet in the barter economy that rises from the ashes of American consumerism. Mr. Burns celebrates the human need to connect again and again through shared stories.
